Rooms at the resort are pleasantly modern, with dark patterned carpeting and light damask wallpaper, though style doesn't rise above typical chain hotel-level charms. When it’s time for some fresh air, there’s an outdoor pool and hot tub surrounded by lounge chairs, couches, and cabanas, where guests can take in views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The hotel attracts big-name entertainment (past entertainers include Rascal Flatts and Paul Anka) in its exposition hall, which can seat more than 1,600 guests. There are also several bars, with live bands and DJs on the weekend. There are a variety of places to dine, including a Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse offering a Sunday Champagne brunch and Hussong’s Cantina, known for its original margaritas. The hotel is also connected to two other casinos - the Eldorado and Circus Circus - via indoor walkways. Underneath, a 120-foot high mining rig belonging to the fictional silver baron Sam Fairchild sits at the center of the casino’s hourly laser light shows. A 180-foot-high composite dome reflecting the skies of Reno from sunrise to sunset covers the casino floor of the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino.
